A “Guide” refers to a government-licensed tour guide in good standing and licensed by the Israeli Ministry of Tourism.
A “Tour” is a package of activities provided by “People not Places” over a specified period of time. Activities as well as the tour start date and end date are agreed upon by the guests and the tour provider, i.e. “People not Places” prior to the start of travel.
“Guests” are passengers traveling together on a Tour provided by “People not Places”.
“Vehicle” may refer to an “Eshkol” or tourist class vehicle licensed by the Ministry of Tourism or a 4 x 4 “Midbari” (Desert-class) vehicle authorized and insured to transport paying guests.
Tour Regulations
A day of guiding is up to a maximum of 10 hours from the time of meetup and includes meals and breaks as dictated by Israeli labor laws.
After 10 hours, an additional fee of $50 USD per hour will be applied up until a maximum of 14 hours per day. On Sabbaths and Holidays, the fee for each additional hour is $80 USD up until a maximum of 14 hours per day.
By Israeli law, drivers are limited to a maximum of 12 hours of driving in a 24-hour period.
Overnights for the guide and driver are, unless otherwise noted, paid for by the guests at a rate of $200 USD per overnight per person (guide and driver, etc.)
Drivers are not available for evening excursions unless otherwise specified in advance
All itineraries provided by and developed by “People not Places” are subject to change due to the prevailing security situation, adverse weather or road conditions, force majeure and acts of God. “People not Places” is not liable for changes due to any of the aforementioned reasons.
Services Provided
“People not Places” provides the following services upon prior agreement: Guiding, Trip planning, tourist-class (Eshkol or Midbari) vehicle and driver reservations, reservations for sites and attractions.
“People not Places” is not a Tour Operator or Travel Agent and does not reserve hotel rooms, make airline reservations, or directly arrange car rentals at rental companies for clients.
A “handling” fee will be added to the tour cost for logistical support, reservations, itinerary building and tour operations.
Unless otherwise noted, tour costs do not include meals, drinks, insurance (medical or travel), bottled water, porterage, visa costs, or gratuities.
“People not Places” works with a variety of excellent Tour Operators and can provide contact information should you need hotel reservations and other forms of travel and logistics assistance.
Tour itineraries designed by “People not Places” are the sole intellectual property of “People not Places” and may not be shared with people who are not tour guests without prior express written permission.
Tour Costs
Payment for tours may be accomplished by cash, bank transfers, and by credit card through the PayPal system. Please note that there is a 3% charge on bank transfers and a 7.5% charge for payment by credit card in the PayPal system.
Bank transfer costs fall on the client and not on “People not Places”.
Quotes are given in United States dollars; however payments are converted into shekels.

Health
Passenger is responsible to ensure at time of booking that they are in good health and that the physical and mental demands of the Trip are within their capacity.
If a Passenger is affected by any condition, medical or otherwise, that might affect their or other Passenger's enjoyment of the tour or its ability to participate in the activities planned, they must advise “People not Places” in advance of their tour.
“People not Places” undertakes to make every effort to ensure the participation of their guests, but reserves the right to deny participation in a tour should it be concluded that the guest’s participation would disrupt other guests or limit the tour in any way.
It is the responsibility of the guest to report any physical or mental limitations (e.g., allergies, sensitivities, certain foods, materials, conditions or activities) that may limit their participation or impact their health.
It is the responsibility of the guests to provide detailed written instructions regarding such condition or other needs to “People not Places” at the earliest time and prior to arrival on the tour.
Insurance Policy
Like any tour, there are risks involved such as, but not limited to, possible injury, illness, loss or damage to property, inconvenience and discomfort. By joining the tour, guests acknowledge that he/she understands and accepts the risks involved.
It is the Guest's responsibility to obtain a valid insurance policy with adequate coverage for trip cancellation, luggage, personal accidents, medical treatments, helicopter rescue, evacuation and air ambulance services and the cost of repatriation if Passenger becomes too ill to continue.
“People not Places” will not be liable in the event a guest chooses to tour without adequate or no insurance coverage. Such a decision is at the guests own risk, and as such a guest indemnifies “People not Places” and its subcontractors of all liabilities including but not limited to tour expenses, losses, or claims.
Liability
“People not Places” is not liable for services provided by third party providers.
Guests acknowledge and agree to waive all claims against “People not Places” with respect to damages, costs, expenses, proprietary or personal injury (including death), or any other compensation of any kind whatsoever due to third-party providers.
“People not Places” is not liable for loss, damage or expenses that are deemed to be the guest’s faults or due to the actions of a third party, or due to unusual or unforeseeable circumstances or events that could not have been anticipated or prevented with reasonable care.
“People not Places” strives to use service providers of the highest caliber, but neither owns nor operates these third-party suppliers and is not the actual provider of these services.
Jurisdiction
Should there arise a situation in which the respective parties are in disagreement and fail to reach a commonly accepted settlement through mediation in Israel, they are free to seek remedy from a Court of Law, as governed by the laws of the State of Israel.
In any case of a legal dispute, the sole jurisdiction shall lie within the competent courts in the city of Haifa, Israel.
